Mermaid House

This little gem is an absolute paradise! When they say it’s like having your own private sanctuary, they’re not exaggerating at all. My favorite room is the sunroom, where I can simply relax and watch the water flow. And let’s not forget the hot tub—it’s simply the best! This home has everything you need for a perfect getaway.

First, I have to say that all communications with Jonathan were excellent. No matter what question I had was immediately answered. The house was as described, very clean and had everything needed for a relaxed stay.Boating, don't expect to bring your own boat as the marsh is very shallow. There is a tandem kayak there but I brought my own kayak with us and it was great, spent a lot of time on the water.Overall it was a great relaxing trip but if you want a busy area with night life this is not the place to go.The one negative I would have, not with this unit, but Emerald Isle beach access. Access is mainly limited to the 2 paid parking areas which used hourly parking. There is some other access points like down near the Coast Guard station but it is a long walk to to beach. I must say it is about the nicest and widest beach we have ever been on.All in all I would highly recommend this property. It is definitely water front with beautiful views.

Great cute little place on the water!!! We loved being close to Swansboro & Emetwld Isle. The house was stocked with everything we needed & more!
